Instead of packing up for the wild, I think we’ll stay at my parents’ place in Ventura County over Labor Day (spa + shower + full kitchen + ABSENT ADULTS = hahahah screw you roughing it!), but then venture out to hike and geocache in Wildwood State Park and the Oxnard/Ventura state beaches.

Whenever it starts raining, I mute my music/pause whatever movie I’m watching and just sit in silence listening to it tap tap tap against my window. There’s nothing quite as serene and beautiful as this. The heavier it is, the better.

If you live near the hills/mountains in SoCal, please know that your dog could very well be eaten by a freaking mountain lion. In case you don’t know what a freaking mountain lion is, it’s like a midget version of a regular lion but a very sneaky and very small one.
