Yosemite (via Slippy Jenkins)
Going back at the end of September, four days in this beautiful place. It won’t look anything like this, like when I visited the park in June. The skies will be clear, waterfalls will be non-existent and hopefully, there will be no death. The one time I visited this place I was greeted by five rangers at the trailhead of Happy Isles who were looking for people that witnessed the “accident” that afternoon. A guy took a wrong step on Half Dome, let go of the cables, and tumbled to his death, right on the same trail we were on. To say that it put a damper on the rest of the day would be an understatment. Even tho when I go back there I’ll be thinking of this — and being eaten by a bear — it’s all going to be weirdly and morbildy exciting in a way.
